Join leaders in the Cleveland community to discuss financial education and preparation for first time homebuyers.
Homeownership is a vital investment in ourselves, our family’s future, and our communities. In order to ensure all Americans can access the dream of homeownership, it is critical to educate first-time buyers and provide additional support in this increasingly challenging market. Please join the American Property Owners Alliance for a Conversation on Homeownership and Generational Wealth in Cleveland.
Our program will explore the role of homeownership in building and maintaining generational wealth and addressing wealth gaps affecting generations of Black families. We will also discuss the unique challenges Cleveland residents face on the path to homeownership and steps and tools available to save for a home and ensure families successfully build and maintain wealth for years to come.
The panel will feature a diverse group of industry professionals, government officials, financial services, and community leaders speaking on the importance of homeownership, creditworthiness, and wealth gaps affecting generations of Black families. They will also discuss the homebuying process including how to save for a down payment, creditworthiness, and questions to raise with real estate agents, lenders, underwriters, inspectors.
