Property owner tax incentives were created because the federal government recognized the value of homeownership for building strong communities.
However, over the years, these incentives have been chipped away, placing an unfair tax burden on property owners.
Property owner tax dollars invest directly in communities and provide a range of social benefits, including increased volunteerism, improved health, and less crime. These benefits are the reason the American Property Owners Alliance believes federal tax policies should do a better job of supporting property owners and incentivizing property ownership.
